Hell week ends

March 4th, 2007

This week was a total pain in the you know what.  I spent the week getting over the flu/cold/sinus infection, and studying for two tests.  Ended up getting a 100% on my Spanish skit, and my calculus test, I wont know until tomorrow.  Chemistry went better than I could have possibly expected, I got a 92% on the exam.  I have one test next week and then it is finally spring break, I cant wait.

I was driving home yesterday or the day before and I saw some war protesters on the side of the road who were “booing” at everyone who didn’t honk in support for their cause.  It took all of my restraint not to pull over and start yelling at them.  I can understand that people do not support the war in Iraq, but here is what bothers me.  They complain saying that our troops do not want to be over there, but they joined the military, they wanted to defend our country.  They want to be over there and they want to help Iraq.  A good number of the citizens are happy to see us in Iraq trying to help, and there are even pictures out there of troops interacting and having fun with the Iraqi citizens.

Moral: If your going to protest your opinion in public, don’t get pissed off when people don’t agree with you.  People are welcome to their own opinion, but when they think that their opinion is the only right opinion, thats when things start to go south.

Back to homework,

Spanish

February 27th, 2007

So my group presented our Spanish soap opera today in class.  Despite being 4 minutes under the minimum time, our teacher gave us an A, and told everyone else to do theirs like we did.  After class, he told me that since we went first, he is going to give us a 100%.  That was an easy 10% of my grade.  Well not easy, but I officially have an A in the class.  What sucks is, in order to get an A, you have to maintain a 92% or above =/

Hello Readers!

February 26th, 2007

So Matt harassed me in #besttechie and told me to register or else. He attempted to give me HJT Helper status, or whatever you call it here at BT, but I politely declined, informing Matt that I am nothing more than an honorary TH at geekstogo, and an official +b setter in #geekstogo. So yeah. He also said he would ban me unless I became an active member here at the site, we will see how that goes.

So, why is my blog titled “College, It’s Not a Party”, well put in simple terms, it isn’t. Here is a breakdown of my week. (See below.)

Tuesday: Spanish Presentation, worth 10% of my grade.

Wednesday: Running yet another lab for my so called “Water Project” in chem.

Thursday: Calculus Test

Friday: Chemistry Test.

Fire truck is nearby, yet again, I wonder who OD’ed.

Anyways, back to memorizing Spanish.
