Doodles

Downloaded Firefox 3.0 today (twice) only to find out it’s no longer supporting Win 98SE (Win 2000 or newer). Oh well, I’ll throw it on my XP box and see if it sticks. At least I’m one of the multitudes suckered into trying for the dl record. My first attempt was through FileHippo which gave me an error something to the effect of not being win32 compatible or such. It was the mozzila.com dl that ‘told’ me that I needed Win 2000 or better. All that on dial-up too !

I don’t care for the new Opera 9.5 as much as the previous version for my 98SE box. I had to find a Win ME .dll to get rid of an error message and it ‘acts’ strange sometimes. I may roll-back to the previous version later if issues continue.

OpenOffice was also updated this past week (v. 2.41), along with FF & Opera.

Taffy-Doodles is fine, putting up with the heat, though he has been sniffling a bit the last week or so.

No new kitties this year (yay) from Momma Cat. Still need to neuter Friskie.

All in all I’m just trying out this blog after a long while to get used to it. Then perhaps greater things may occur.

Oh, My Poems in .html format. Still writing and editting.

Another BLOG in need of content (sigh!).

Thank you besttechie.net for this new window to the world. Besttechie is where I hang a shingle (tab) in Firefox to keep abreast of program updates, comedy, and the family friendly tech community which is Besttechie. I usually hang out here: BestTechie Forums > Community > Open Chat > Word Association Thread. This particular thread is currently in its 4th incarnation in the latest of Besttechie’s forums (version 2 if I recall).
I came by Besttechie like most of Besttechie’s ‘old guard’… through ZDTV > TechTV > G4… a love for tech and of those who do likewise. I’m ever just beyond the noob… always lagging in the technology that races along at speeds best suited to the young; and those with the funds to buy the latest ‘thing’ in tech.

I haven’t updated my old BLOG in over a year… though I’ve notes aplenty that need to be sorted and edited and such. It’s ostensibly a poetry BLOG now, with snippets from my very humble life and interests for the last few years… ever evolving. My old BLOG may be accessed at: Bobby’s Blog…
